I currently have a Radeon 7950, and I am looking for an upgrade and with the upgrade some water cooling. I was thinking of selling my graphics card and buying a GTX 780 and setting up a custom water loop. But would it be better to just go with another 7950 and water cool both of them?

Why not keep the 7950? Its a great card. but i would say 780.

what resolution are you playing at? (how many monitors)

because typically up to 1080p a HD 7950 can handle itself pretty well, especially with how they overclock a majority of the time.with watercooling you should be able to add a few fps onto it through overclocking due to the added headroom.

If you aren't happy with the 7950, I'd say go for a reference 780. Getting another 7950 isn't advisable till AMD delivers their promised Crossfire fixes (though when they do, I'd expect two 7950s to beat a 780).

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

Triple montor go AMD, 3D go Nvidia. If you got the money go 780 if you are on a budget go for 7970. Or another 7950 get water blocks for both of them and overclock the snot out of them. Check out my sig I have my overclock numbers there and they are pretty good.

I would go crossfire since it is cheaper and it is still great performance.  Doing this would allow you to upgrade something else.

The rest of my build is a 3930k on a ASRock Extreme6 with 16GB of 1600MHz RAM all being powered by a TX750. I am playing on one 2560x1440 monitor and I have an aux. 1920x1080 monitor that I don't game on. The reason I was looking to change to the 780 is because it would cost me about $100 per gpu block and if I sold my 7950 and got a 780 and a water block for it it would be about the same as another 7950 and two water blocks.

Thats a good reason.
