So i just built my new pc about 3 days ago and it was very simple to do but i wanted a bit more kick in horribly optimized games like assassins creed unity and that is when i ran into my problems. I have been following a guide on how to overclock a gtx 970 and he monitors it using gpu-z and it displays his boost clock as 1500mhz but my problem is that in precision X i have to put DOUBLE the amount of mhz he used on his (200) to get the same gpu boost! So i have to ask if this is perfectly natural or if i am just running into a problem elsewhere. NOTE: i am using a ZOTAC gtx 970 so perhaps the EVGA software just does not scale like his EVGA card?

hmmm so is it fine to have almost double his mhz? or should i maybe tone it back a bit?

If your overclock is stable and you're getting good temps then it should be fine, if you haven't already, find a gpu benchmark like unigine and see if your overclock lasts the whole way through without crashing.

Edit: used quote for once
