Hi, i recently got a 970 from MSI and today i bought an 24gm77 Monitor. If i connect the Display via Displayport, i get heavy Display errors, if i connect it via DVI it works fine. However, if i connect it to my roommate's PC with Displayport (He got a 760), it also works fine.

I'm not able to use the 24gm77 with Displayport without any additional Monitors to, i cant even see my Spashscreen then.

The 29um65 i returned because of random blackouts today worked without these Errors, it only Blacked  out infrequently as it did on the DVI port.

The Question i have now is whether it could be caused by a Driver Error (However why not Splashscreen + Reinstalled it) or if my Displayport is broken (why did the 29um65 work then) and i need to RMA the card.

Ive got the same problem, ive tried to reinstall the drivers, disable the card while the error shows. Nothing helps, unless i reboot the computer.
I noticed that this often happens after the computer being idle for a longer period of time

Please update if you get something

Have you tried a different display port cable? if so what about HDMI does it work or does it have issues to?

The cable works fine on my roommates PC, and it worked with the 29um65, i only tried HDMI with my laptop so far, there weren't any issues, but i'll test it with my 970.
