Hackintosh Support

Go to solution Solved by Rheinwasser,

https://www.google.de/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#safe=off&q=z97x-sli%20hackintosh

looks like quite a few people used this board for hackintoshing, so yes.

Before I start I hope this is the right section

Hi I am going to buying a 2TB drive to clone my windows to then use the current 1TB to use as a Mac installation, was wondering whether my mobo will be compatible as i have seen others have managed to get one working but cant find how to with my mobo.

I succesfully installed Hackintosh a week ago on my PC, used this guide (clover supports EFI booting instead of legacy boot):

http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

Most of the time its not whetter your mobo itself is "compatible" but if the audio/ethernet controller will work.

I got it working on my first try, but installing hackintosh can be a pain in the but.

Seeing that you have an intel bord and nvidia graphics card (hackintosh with amd cpu's is super messy since OS X wasnt designed to run on AMD) you should be able to run it without a problem.

Desktop: Intel i9-10850K (R9 3900X died 😢 )| MSI Z490 Tomahawk | RTX 2080 (borrowed from work) - MSI GTX 1080 | 64GB 3600MHz CL16 memory | Corsair H100i (NF-F12 fans) | Samsung 970 EVO 512GB | Intel 665p 2TB | Samsung 830 256GB| 3TB HDD | Corsair 450D | Corsair RM550x | MG279Q

Laptop: Surface Pro 7 (i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD)

Console: PlayStation 4 Pro
