Long Range Bluetooth Adapter?

I'm trying to get my Jaybirds bluebuds X headphones to work throughout my house. The source is a PC with a Asus BT Adapter.

I was looking at this device: http://www.aircable.net/products/host-xr3.php

At 129$, it claims to have super BT range up to 1km in ideal conditions. My (false) hope is that it can increase what is currently a 20foot range to 50-60ft range for my earbuds.

There's of course the issue that no matter how much I juice up the power on the transmitter, the BT headphones have to send some data back, right? (not that this isn't stupid, but that's how I'd expect it to work)
