Note 4 Camera Issues

I know I can get a fast reply on this website and I need some answers fast before my warranty is up.  My Note 4 has been having some problems with the camera recently. Whenever I try to focus on something close up, within 2 meters, it is amazing, but whenever I try to focus on something farther away, it won't focus. What it does when I click is adjust the lens, which takes 1/2 - 1 second, then it stays blurry. The only way I can get it to focus on stuff far away is to hit the phone a couple times. That sounds kinda weird, but after I hit it, it focuses instantly and is super sharp. Do you guys think this could be a software or a hardware problem. What should I do to fix it?

sounds like a software problem since the phone is able to focus properly it's just not doing it right away

Would you have any idea how to fix it?  I have tried everything, safe mode, soft reset, hard reset, etc.

Did you ever take the plastic piece off your camera? That did it for me

yeah try a different app most likely, or just wait for an update to fix it

That was the second thing I took off.  My biggest pet peeve are those weird plastic sticky things and I must take them all off or else I will explode.

Are there any good camera apps that have the same or more features than the stock?

Based on this, it might be a hardware problem, i.e. the lens is stuck or something.

Getting a warranty return coming today or tomorrow, but I never know because of the holiday heckticismist people and their 50 bazillion packages that they ordered.
