It's an all-in-one program called "Advanced System Optimizer". It cleans registries, junk files, defrags, driver updates etc. Great program.

Yeah, that is malware.

I'm going to copy paste the message i sent to the last person with malware/adware and tell you to do the same thing

Download AdwareRemovalTool Link: http://www.techsuppo...e-removal-tool/
and Make sure you have MSE installed so you can run it.
Also download Malwarebytes, and spybot search and destroy 1.6.2

Run each one as admin and remove all the stuff they find.
Reset all your browsers, remove any extensions, and download revo uninstaller and get rid of all the bad programs including advanced system optimizer.

Open revo, find the programs, double click and choose advanced, finish the built in uninstaller and then hit next and delete all.

If you do not know what it is, remove it (unless the publisher is legit).

Well, if he is using one of those fake programs like driver detective, etc, that could cause these issues.

I've never heard of slimdrivers but their website looks dodgy as f*** and i'd never install it on my machine/remove it from any machine i see it on.

EDIT: looking more at this slimdrivers thing, it is 100% a virus. Site's rank it up with driver detective, double driver, etc.

Bad. Remove it. ASAP.

Looking at the screenshots, it always reports between 19 and 22 out of date drivers no matter what.

In no situation should you need a driver updater.

you're entitled to your opinion on slimdrivers................. but it works really good. haven't had any invasion problems. you sound paranoid.

advance system optimiser........... is that IOBIT? some of the worst programming to put on your machine........... especially if you use it for registry fixes. will do more harm than good.

My program has speed up my old computers and my friends computers many time.

I think I will keep the program that keeps my drivers updated..

Unless you can recommend any better All in One programs? I hate having multiple programs installed, I want one to do it all.

Just google the name of the program and add virus at the end.

Yeah because one program will catch everything.

It doesn't flag it because technically you hit "I agree" to it. Why would i remove something you agreed to?

Yes i'm sure i'm not paranoid.

If you don't want to take those steps to fix your issue, then mark the topic as solved because there are no other solutions. You have malware, and that WILL cause your issue.

I don't know why you even bothered asking for help if you were just going to ignore the helpers, and throw their advice in their face.

I would recommend going to the manufacturers website and downloading the latest version, and only ever going there.

I have had little success with 3rd party driver websites.

In all honesty, you need only update the GPU drivers frequently, unless you have issues with the current drivers.

As with anything, jumping on the early train of drivers can often be a major issue with bugs, incompatibility, and driver conflicts.

A good rule of thumb is if windows does it, don't let anything else do it (with a few exceptions to this rule of course. Such as uninstalling some programs [though, that is mostly the fault of the developer] and defragging your hard drive.).

It's just for chipset drivers (still don't even know what they are) and sometimes there is new USB Drivers but yeah, I will probably just do that.

Say someone asks me to speed up their computer though, what programs should I install/do? CCleaner, Malware Bytes and Defrag the hard drive?

I would be paranoid to if some program was installing malware, viruses, etc. on my rig. Always good to research things before installing them, unless from a creditable source.

If this post helped you, mark it as solved and give it a like - Always like seeing when someones issue has been solved. :)

Yeah updating those frequently is not needed, unless you are having issues.

Speeding up someones computer is not a one thing fix all kinda situation.

It depends on the kind of slowness they are having. Is their harddrive soon to be dead?

If it needs defragging, use Mydefrag. So much better than the windows defrag tool...

CCleaner is a good start.

Doing windows updates often helps.

Malware removal, clearing their drive helps.

Doing driver updates will never speed your PC up any noticeable amount at all, save for some GPU driver updates, but those always boast a "25% boost in performance!".

Won't let me go to those links, just redirects me to LTT

Yeah what the hell me too.

Just google the names of them (normally i link dropbox, but i forgot to pay for it) and choose either the bleeping computer link, or the toolslib link.
