hi. i have 850 Pro 256Gb. i have drive D where BF4, PvZ GW, and this CoD AW are installed. i just received my WD Black HD just now.

now, i can easily copy all the Battlefield install folder to another place and it would recheck installation from Origin and install with less than 50Mb data downloaded by Origin which is a great feature.

CoD AW is my First ever CoD game. i need to empty space on my SSD and install this CoD in the Black Drive. can some one tell me how to do this? can i simply copy the CoD folder to Black drive and steam would do the rest for me? or its not possible? i have 8Mbps internet and it would need at least 2 days to download CoD all over again cause last  i checked its over 50Gb of data.

thanks

you dont need to install it on an ssd i have it on an hdd and there are no problems maybe on an ssd it would have better load time not what you asked i know so you can to it but then you should go to the lower left corner add a game/ add  a non steam game find the install folder and the game works but i dont know about the multiplayer or updates i would suggest install in it again

SNIP

1) if you need to Make a new steam library on the drive you want

2) move game into new folder

3) launch game, steam should detect and move it

(sometiems you have to delete local content (ie where it was origionally installed) and tell it to download again, and select the new library, it will detect the files)

Use Steams library folder setting. Connect and format the black, open steam, goto Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders. Click create and make a new folder on the black then click OK. Steam will create an appdata folder on the new HD which you can then copy all your existing games over from the SSD into and free up all the space.
