Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Compatibility

I was wondering if the CM Hyper TX3 is any good with an i7 4790k? I can't get a 212 EVO because my case (Aerocool xpredator x1) won't allow the cooler to fit in. If you know any better coolers that are near the same price as the 212 EVO and is under 158mm please let me know!

You can always try it out. My 212x fits in my spec 03 case even though the official CPU cooler max height for my case is

 

Maximum CPU Cooler Height

157mm

 

and the height of 212 x is 158mm

 

 

Heat Sink Dimensions 116 x 51 x 158 mm / 4.6 x 2.0 x 6.2 inch

 

212 evo is 159mm

 

 

Dimension 120 x 80 x 159 mm (4.7 x 3.1 x 6.3 in)

 

I would say give it a try for your case before deciding. The 212 series is a really good low budget CPU cooler series!
