So guys i did Memtest on the ram i have presently on my system. It looks like The whole Ram is faulty since it game me over 1 lakh errors in various phases of the pass. I guess this is also the reason I'm getting BSOD frequently.
SO i have a question for you guys. Whether i should just go for single 4gb stick or should 2 2gb stick if I'm getting 4gb of DDR3 ram(if 2gb ddr3 is available online.) or if I'm getting 8gb of ram should i get single 8gb stick or dual 4gb sticks..???
and what are the advantages of getting dual 4gb sticks over getting single 8gb stick.....

My motherboard is 870 gaming and it supports dual channel memory and which ram i should get as a budget gamer...

2 sticks will be better simply because you'll be able to use dual channel mode

Well if you have the money, get 2x4 sticks. If not, get a single 4gb

I dont but had this in mind of getting a single stick now and later on next month getting another stick... will that be a problem...?

2 sticks will be better simply because you'll be able to use dual channel mode

yeah but getting 2 single sticks at different time will coz problems?

Nope. as long as they're rated for the same speed, it should be fine

One guy from Overclock.net ran a test between single channel and dual channel ram and found that dual channel was faster:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1530497/an-independent-study-in-practice-is-dual-channel-ram-faster-than-single-channel

but dont you think that dual channel comes into picture only when you are doing some rigorous work on your pc.... that what i believe in... i might be wrong...  But just for a gamer like me i Should be less concerned dual or  single channel...
