water cooling an evga 980 with the acx 2.0 cooler

Beefmaster

hey,

I am going to be finally buying the rest of my computer today, i will be buying a 980 and getting putting a water block with it my pc parts store does not sell any reference cards because they're a bunch of muppets. i was wondering if i could buy a 980 with a evga acx 2.0 cooler on it and put a waterblock on it.

will this work? or do they use a non-reference PCB?

if the water block wont work then what cards with non-reference coolers will?

thanks in advance. i also included the list of graphics cards i have to choose from.

why not just get one with a water block on it. Its about $120-150 for the block so http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2989-KR so this being only $100 more is than one w/o is a pretty good deal

Just make sure the tubes from your liquid cooling system fit on the card (or vise versa)

because they dont sell them from my store

The superclocked ac 2.0 is a reference design I have 2 of them and put this block on them http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc980-gtx-acetal.html also http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/ is a handy way to double check and it has it listed as reference
