Hell no. Better to get an i5 then a GTX 970 instead. You invested too much in the CPU and an i7 is not a good choice if your only aim is gaming. Please post your build and we'll check what you need to change.

This is not gonna be a gaming only pc, I'm also gonna be rendering videos

Well, decide whats more important... An i5 can render just fine just not quite as fast as an i7, but a 970 will game MUCH better than a 760. But since you seem to be on a budget, I'd also consider an i7+R9 290 (unless the software you use benefits from CUDA acceleration).

If the budget is that tight and you really are 50/50 (gaming/rendering), then go with a Xeon 1231v3 (a locked i7 with no integrated graphics) and a GTX970.

So, a gtx 760ti can't run modern games?

Theres no such thing as a 760Ti, and not at decent setting 1080p.

i would go the i5 4690k and the gtx 970 you arent going to be rendering videos everyday for 5 hours straight so might as well get the better graphic card the i5 is still a quad core so its coooo especially if you record gameplay the 970 will hold fps better

hey same here man if you do rendering more than you do gaming i would say the i7 and the 760 should be fine then cause i do videography too and my 4770k does just fine with a good amount of ram. i wouldnt say that the 760 will run max everything at 60fps but if you turn it down a bit to like medium it will do fine. on bf4 the 4gb can run up to 90fps on all ultra i believe either 90 or 70
