Upgrading my pc

If the prices are similar go for this.

Hello guys,

I'm going to upgrade my pc and my budget is about 500 euro.

I plan to use it primarily for gaming.

The site I'm going to purchase it from is http://www.alternate.nl/html/index.html (or http://www.alternate.co.uk/ASUS/H97-Plus/html/product/1173988? for the British site, the prices and stock doesn't 100% match, but it's in English)

I'm going to need a CPU, motherboard, GPU and mayby a new PSU (I've got an Inter-Tech and I've heard that it's not a very reliable brand and that it's 5 years old won't help).

I've looked a bit around and I think the i5-4590 (192.90 euro) and i5-4460 (179.90 euro) are good picks.

For GPU I was thinking about the ASUS R9270X-DC2T-4GD5 (227.90 euro) or the EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC 04G-P4-2768-KR (249.90 euro).

The GPU has to be below 285mm x 140mm (1.22 inch x 5.51 inch) in size.

One problem I'm seeing is that I've only got about 90 euro left to spend on the mobo (and mayby the PSU) if I choose the two cheaper options.

My question is: do you guys have any recommendations?

My current setup is:

CPU: i7-920

GPU: ATI Radean HD 5850

MOBO: ASUS P6T

PSU: Inter-Tech Combat Power 750W

RAM: 14 GB DDR3 (3x 2 GB & 1x 8 GB)

Storage: 1x 1 TB + 1x 3 TB

Optical drives: 1 DVD

Fans: 1 80mm and 1 120mm

pretty sure you'll need a new mobo if you want to upgrade the CPU

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

another 12 core / 24 thread senpai...     (/. _ .)/     \(. _ .\)

A decent recommendation, but the problem is that I'll only have 20 euro left for the mobo if I go for the CS450M. (I'm also not sure if I need te replace the PSU, )

I'll probably need to downgrade the CPU (and GPU) to be able to fit it in. I've heard AMD is cheaper, but I don't really know much about AMD CPU's.

Just save a bit more, trust me, it's worth it

Is there any particular reason you chose these parts?

Except for the budget ofcourse.

Friend owns he 270x and comes close to maxing out most games

600w power supply for upgrading to a new card in the future

Thank you very much.

I think I will go with that setup, if not a close related one.

I'm going to wait a few more days to see if someone else also has a suggestion
