100% disk usage

Recently I've started getting 100% disk usage on my PC randomly, which causes everything to slow down and become unresponsive. After I close a game, it gets worse, it's so bad I can't do anything for like 10 minutes until it settles down a bit. 

 

Specs:

 

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

 

Mobo: Gigabyte EX58-UD5

CPU: i7-920@4GHz

GPU: GTX-650Ti

RAM: 8gb Corsair vengeance

 

Any suggestions why this is happening?

do you just have 1 HDD or do you have more than 1 HDD.

Have you ran virus and malware scans ?

have you defraged the HDD and do you have the page file running off this HDD ?

Hey! Thanks for your reply! I have ran several virus scans. I have two HDDs and I've also defraged them both.
