Fresh windows install. Stutter in all games

Hi all

 

I have recently got myself a new HDD and SSD for my computer and installed a fresh version of windows. All of the games i have put on my HDD have very noticeable stutter. The games i have installed on the SSD seem to work fine, the games being Total War Rome 2 and Arma 3. All of the games i have installed on my HDD have stuttering issues with the exception of cs go. the games which stutter are still affected no matter what graphics settings i have them set on. The most prevalent stutter is on BF4. I have tried installing and re installing direct X multiple times and also numerous fixes from other game forums (BF forums) . None of these have helped.

GTX 980 (latest driver) (slightly overclocked)

 

i5 3470 (not overclocked) (liquid cooled) 

 

8GB 1600mhz RAM

 

Asus p8z77-vpro motherboard

 

Intel 530 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive SSDSC2BW120A401 (windows install)

 

Western Digital 2TB Green 

 

Windows 7 home premium (64 bit) (all updates installed)

Its a H60. I got it for 30 bucks in a sale. 

 

I will upgrade my cpu soon, but not now..
