turn everything off unplug the pc and check every connection from the psu there is suppose to be 1 for gpu 1 for cpu (located on the motherboard) 1 for the motherboard (same place dhu!) 1 on the sdd/hdd I don't know which you use and one for the dvd reader if you have one. After check if ram stick are there  check if processor is in the socket(sound stupid but already happen to me (heatsink without processor)) check if nothing can shortcut (you can also test boot out of the box for being safe) check if the connector gpu to screen is well plugged on the two end check if screen is working and plugged if still not working check with an other cable since this one may be broke if it is not working you will need to search for the broken piece.

you should always start by testing the motherboard, ram and cpu, unplug everything else. If that doesnt post, you should see if the motherboard light turns, try different memory slots, try only 1 dimm. Report the behavior you see, but if either the motherboard or the cpu is not working, the faster way to diagnose is to swap them to another system
