So tried to update BIOS found out I couldn't do it through the USB. I got out of BIOS restarted then it said something about no bootable something insert and restart. I can't remember. I cleared the CMOS through the reset switch IO plate. The screen said everything had been reset to default values and to press f1 to set up or f2 to continue. When I pressed f1 it said "entering setup" and it was just stuck like that so I turn off the system and restart it. So now its just showing a "A2" in the bottom right corner nothing else and it just stays like that.

A2 code is typically indicated when the system posts but you need to hit F1

maybe your montior isnt displaying proper.

try to hit F1 when A2 is displayed, see if it continues to boot.

sometimes I have to turn my monitor off and back on to get display. sometimes i have to remove the gfx card and post with onboard gfx also.

What motherboard do you have? May help resolve issue.

Yep it's working without the drives. What now?

Try and find which drive it fails to boot with and go from there.

So, how do I go about doing a BIOS update for my mobo then...

Well was it the HDD or the SSD thats causing the issue? :P... Might want to sort that out before moving onto somthing else. BUT bios updates are normally done in the bios with an new bios file on a usb drive OR from within windows via some software.

Quack 🦆
