  • What power supply should I get that will be sufficient enough for overclocking my processor and my graphics card.
  • My build
  • Clearly my current power supply isn't good enough for heavy overclocking.

Your build is similar to mine, I'd say get around the 750W-850W range. 750W to support all the OC. 850W if you're planning to SLI. Just don't go over 1000W as 970s are power efficient and CPUs wont need that much power wattage if you're doing normal overclocking and not liquid nitrogen overclocking. For PSU, I'd say get the CM V Series or EVGA SuperNOVA G2's

Edit: 650W will already be giving good enough extra power for CPU OC-ing.

I'd say I don't trust anything lower than 650W nowadays.

A 650w psu can run Overclocked SLI 970s.

and you don't "trust" anything lower than a 650w psu....what? Just because it's a low wattage psu doesn't make it crap. Hell, a Corsair CX430 is a perfectly good psu and is plenty for a single 970.

I don't "trust" it not because a low watt psu makes things crap or even bottleneck anything. I don't "trust" it because well, it's not futureproofing anything. 650W is good enough I'd say, but what about the extra fans? CPU being OC-ed, GPU OC-ed, any custom water cooling in it? 2-way 3-way or even a 4-way SLI? If you run 2 970s it'll already make it 450+W what about the overclocking? I guess its a personal preference but yeah. For me anything lower than 650W is not futureproof enough.
