Not really, some are more trusted than others. I recommend G*Skill, Crucial, Corsair, there are a few others.

yea, more popular brands like gksill and corsair are not faster than a non knows brand, they will be more reliable and better built thou

you basically never see a ram stick fail, so no.

it just comes down to personal preference and looks.

I've only had one thing ever come DOA. It was my RAM.

The known brands also usually have used higher quality components, giving overall better quality and lifespan.

RAM, like every memory type, has a specific lifetime which it can take before starting to fail. Like HDD and SSD.

 

Just RAM rarely gets that used up significantly before it is replaced.

 

 

Another is heat. Known brands usually have less heat output.

exept in cooling(extreamly simular)and brand name itsa ll same 

example: 8gb(2x4gb)1600mhz corsair is same from something like a data 1600mhz(same latency and voltage if you set the specifik filter) so yea they are all the same exept brand name and looks
