Just like what the title says, I know from past experience that 1.65v was the max for x58. My current memory is OC to 2133mhz and the voltage is at 1.65v.

well pcpartpicker says that the max voltage for ram using Haswell is 1.5v but you shouldn't have any trouble with 1.65v

1.65v is the most commonly rated maximum voltage by RAM manufacturers for DDR3 in general, regardless of platform. Hard and fast rule is that anything higher than 1.75v has some serious potential to insta-kill DIMMs, although there's plenty of crazy OCers out there who will push past 1.8v with the right kit.

 

Best advice, set the voltage to the rating on the package :D

XMP 1.35V, but you can run easily around 1.8+V with Haswell. Its nothing with issues or something. Overlcockers  using 1.85V at air for benchamrks and 2.2V with LN2 at memory. Why? For high memory clocks. Some instability you can tweak with VCCSA voltage and  few tweaks with IO analog and digital voltage.

 

But from normal user perspective is up to 1.65-1.7V OK.
