New CPU and MB swap UEFI?

Hi guys! I've been a long time fan of linus and lurked quite a bit! I now need some help from the community though!

I'm currently sitting on a i5-760 with a MSI p55-cd53 MB, Windows 8.1. I recently purchased an Asus ROG Hero vii and a 4690k plus some new ram. So... I wana swap CPU and motherboard

in the least painful way. I saw the guide for swapping MBs without reinstalling windows but I'm not sure if that would apply here. Would the UEFI complicate matters

while doing this? I know the best solution is just a clean install, but I have a bunch of engineering software tied and would be a pain to reinstall. I'm decent at troubleshooting so it's not a big deal, but

would like to do it quickly :D

I have just an SSD boot drive setup as C:\ like most and the larger programs are kept on external drives.

If I have to reinstall is there a quick and cheap way to migrate over?

IE: Keep my programs installed on another drive and have windows pointed to them? Would the standard windows backup and restore kept on an external disk be sufficient enough?

And a Speccy is attached! Sorry Imgur was down when I made this!

Thank you guys!

And Happy Holidays  ;)
