New build for a client

So some one contacted me today with a first for me. To build a gaming system with a PCI-E SSD and keep it under $1000 US and so I think I have a great computer set up for this build as of now.

CPU: AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

GPU: SAPPHIRE 100354XTL Radeon HD 7870 XT w/Boost 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16

RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (Trust it, wont see a difference in this and 1600)

PSU: SeaSonic M12II 650 SS-650AM 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular

Case: NZXT Source 210 S210-001 Black Aluminum Brush / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Heatsink: Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler

SSD: OCZ RevoDrive OCZSSDPX-1RVD0110 PCI-E 110GB 4 x PCI-Express MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

MOBO: MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS (Will get the CPU to a stable 4.7)

 

All together the price is $938.65 US and that is shipped to my house to start building, just want to know your thoughts on the set up. This is the first time I am going to be able to see the boot time on a PCI-E SSD running WIN 8. should be fun to time :-)

But you can tell him that it doesnt make a difference if he would just take a normal ssd.

No, PCI-E SSD's are much, much faster than a samsung 840, and it's $99 so really nothing beats it.

yeah, if you copy files around all day long this is the best choice lol.

Or record video to a single drive, or for less cable management. but none the less he asked for a PCI-E SSD and I am not going to tell him "No" just not what I do for my work :p
