I've noticed that it's price has been plummeting and was wondering if it will keep going, plateau or shoot back up soon as I've had my eye on this board for quite a while now.

Other boards have been following this trend, such as the GIgabyte Z77X UD4H:

Both boards have dropped by about £15 in two days.

Thanks,
Sam

If you need/want a new mobo then go for it.

Do you have an existing 1155 cpu or are you upgrading from another platform?

It's an Asus P8Z77-V LX, it's good but it looks terrible.

Is there a reason you're not upgrading already? If not, I'd just wait and get a new z87 board with the new chip-set and features and stuff. I've got the Mpower and while it's a beast, I can't see spending 200 bucks on an already technically outdated board when you could spend more and get an entirely new platform. But that's just my two cents! :)

P.S. I'm not sure if it's my H100i pump or the board itself, but I have noticed an extremely high pitched noise (coil whine-like) coming from my own board, though it's so low that when turned on you can't hear it, but just so you know.

P.P.S As to your actual question, when a new platform comes out, you'll always see a drop in price, but as to when it will plateau, i have no idea. You'll have to just keep watching it.
