Solved by teddyteddyteddy,
There isn't really any reason to use an aftermarket cooler on the 4460 because you can't overclock it, and the Intel stock cooler does a decent job. You probably wouldn't need an aftermarket cooler for the 8370,unless you want to overclock it. In that case, you would definitely need one. Using an aftermarket cooler and over clocking the 8370 will help it a little and it will have better temperatures, but there won't be a giant difference, and the i5 will still win in gaming, while the 8370 will often win in rendering.hey thanks for the clarity.
so the only way for a 8370 to keep up with the 4460 is with a CPU cooler? I mean the 4460 wouldn't need an aftermarket CPU cooler to do great in games and such?
If you are interested in overclocking, and video editing/ rendering performance is more important to you than gaming performance, you should probably get the 8370.
If you don't really care about overclocking, and gaming performance matters more to you, then you should get the i5. I would personally go with the i5.
If you want more opinions on this, then just ask in the cpu subforum like I said before
