NZXT H440 mod

hey guys i am going to paint my side panel on my h440.i have included a photo below to show kinda what im thinking. tell me what you htink. If you have a cooler idea plz draw it and post it below. I am looking for a 429 boss mustang kinda paint with some amd fx branding thank you for your input

He probably means full matte black. AKA the Razer version without the gaudy green accents.

leave it... what if you decide to upgrade parts then you'll need to purchase a new case because you painted it.

I would stick to the minimal design. Maybe you could add a line in the shape that you originally wanted to paint. Make it the same thickness as the front side red. If you don't understand I'l PS it real quick.

Nice concept, I would maybe pull the line down to the PSU cover so you're not shooting a line gap over the window.

Still don't know if I'm in love with the diagonal line, the case really takes to right angles.

I could paint it again, and i will almost always be useing amd because i need more cores and a 8 cors intel is about 600 to much right now so ya

The Boss 429 line works a little better because it's flowing over a curved surface. Even with the changes to the Boss 302 the diagonal goes with the rake of the car. Problem with the H440, IMO, is that every accent line is either perpendicular or parallel to every other line.

A simple pinstripe down the front cover and side panel may get you a little better look, depending on what you like;

Just be aware that it's going to be a bitch to match the color and reflectivity/texture to the H440's paint (it is probably just colored plastic). Also, on the side panel the right most pin-stripe isn't actually a painted stripe, it's part of the case -I just tried to match the width of the left justified stripe to it. Also, ideally I would have lined up the FX logo with the top of the window but I'm running short on time getting ready for work :lol:

 

I'd love to mod that front panel and put a raised shadow box middle stripe with some LED's behind it and a beveled downward edge to reflect the light away from anyone looking at it from the side...but I get carried away with these sorts of things, and don't have a machine shop to support it A beveled and raised 3D "FX" logo sticker would be awesome, but vinyl is probably the most cost effective route...god damnit I'll just stop

I work at a welding shop and my friend paints cars so i have almost all the stuf to do that
