Yeah the E10K is pretty darn good for its price according to reviews. I am about to pull the trigger on one but I am going to wait for reviews on the Schiit Fulla which is similarly priced.

I'm using my Shure SRH-1540s on an E10K as we speak. Crazy value for the money, go for it! :)

Is the fiio e10k worth it as an amp. Or is there better ones for around that price point? Sorry for asking so many questions today.

E11 is cheaper if you just need an amp. E10k has about half the power output as the E10 for whatever reason.

I think the e10k is the successor to the e10(last time i cheked the e10 is now discontinued but call me out if im wrong). I have the e10, a friend has an e10k we are both satisfied. Its the cheapest way to get a good usb soundcard and i really like that it has a line out for my speakers as well so i have a headphone plugged into the front, and a stereo in the back. If you don't need input on your external soundcard(or the integrated suffices) its your cheapest option if you want to have quality.

So does that mean that it's even more useless than the E10?

Of course, this is information from Mr. Mayflower. He could be wrong or have a defective unit

I still think it's stupid due to the microUSB, and why bother when the original is still available for cheap.

As an amp? No. You'll get a better amp for that price. E10k priced like that ($70 something?) because it's a DAC/amp combo, and it can't be used as a standalone amp (no analog input)
