Hi everyone. I have been looking at RAM and was wondering whether or not 8gb is enough to not bottleneck a 4690k and 970 in all games (both AAA and indie, etc)? Currently I cannot find a supplier that sells single 8gb modules of the memory I am after so my only option is 2x4gb or upgrading to 2x8gb. What do you guys think?

I'd go for 16gb just to be on the safe side. While it can be enough for gaming, that's not all we use our computers for...(well, most of us)

Depends on what do you intend to do with your pc. Gaming wise 8Gb is more than enough. I have 2x4gb Vengeance Pros and I am only able to use something close to 8gb is when opening several photos in raw format with photoshop.

If you think these companies exist for any other reason you're gonna be disappointed my dear. CAVEAT EMPTOR"

8 GB is fine for now.  16 GB might be more necessary in the next 2-3 years.

It's worth noting that lots of games will readily make use of extra memory lying around.  I've had some recent games use up nearly the full 8 GB, but they scale it down based on how much you have available.
