That happened to me once, not sure why, but I would reset the BIOS by pulling out the battery for a few minutes or pressing the button on your I/O array (if the mobo has one)

Could also be a PSU problem

This have to do with the network connectivity, some settings in the bios "wake-up" the PC when a connection is triggered through LAN or Wifi

Couldn't find the setting in bios. <_<  I looked in the event viewer, yesterday the computer started at 10:23 and today at 10:45.

windows update or nvidia had nothing to do with it....maybe a setting in the ai suite ?

If it is a PSU problem how do i check that?

There's no way to check if it's a PSU problem really

I went to device manager/network adaptors/intel ethernet connections/power management/wake on magic packet from power off state. i unchecked it so let's see now!

Thank you very much for your time :D

No problem

What you did will probably work, but usually Wake on LAN isn't enabled by default so I was suspicious that it could be something else

Pull the internet cable out and/or disconnect wifi, see if it stops

It might have something to do with the ai suite? I enabled the TPU and EPU switch recently.

If my solution doesn't work i'll try that too :D

Hi grkswe,

I found this on the spiceworks community forum:

When a system powers back on after full shut-off, it could be due to one of the following things:

1. Faulty PGS (Power Good Signal)

2. Power supply malfunctioning

3. Power management setting(s) in BIOS and/or operating system

4. Loose components (CPU, I/C, Graphics Adapter, etc.) on motherboard

Check # 4 by disconnecting / removing processor, expansions card, cables, power fully then reinstalling. Check BIOS I/C to make sure it is firmly seated.

For #3, reset BIOS per the motherboard manufacturer's instructions.

I hope this helps,

Titania_WD
