Defraging an ssd

Does it decrease the lifetime of the SSD to dergrag it, or is there no reason to do that because it doesn't work, or  makes defraging makes it real faster?

Never defrag a Ssd . it cuts down the life of the drive..

i think the os prevents you from defraging, it uses TRIM. and what that does is cleans up the "ghost data" from the ssd

Do not defrag an SSD. It kills the drive faster than normal, and yields no beneficial results.
