I'm doing a website for a server and I need a free service. Something that offers great customizability and MOST IMPORTANTLY forums. There must forum support, because this website needs to have a forum. I'd prefer if there is no URL shit, but since it's free I guess I can take it.

What's the website going to be used for? How many users? What are the forums needed for? ... We need a little more detail before even thinking about getting started or suggesting options for you... most of which will be free if you're up to "doing it yourself".

 

My day job is retail, my night job / hobby is Self-Taught Web Design & Server Administration. It will be Minecraft server website. Forums are going to be something like this (LTT), If you want a number of users, for about max. 20, will need expansion later tho. I am all new to websites and stuff, but I saw some work that my friends did. I am all in doing it myself and I need something free for, later tho if we decide to get a paid service it will probably be enjin (not sure what it's all about/what's the difference, anyway we're not there yet).

As much as I dislike Enjin in general... There is a free tier for Enjin (ad supported obviously) http://www.enjin.com/features/plans that will do everything you want with very little effort. Might as well start there and you can upgrade to paid later if that's your plan instead of trying to migrate from one system to another down the road.

Thank you for this. I am truly grateful. I'm not an Enjin fan myself, in fact I see how you hate it (kinda I do too), but I'm choosing it for it's Minecraft compatibility.

How do I get started tho?
