Is this a decent PC or are there things that can be changed about for better performance or to save a little cash?

It's going to be a family PC so general use, Internet, downloading, music/video playback and streaming, Microsoft office, basic picture and video editing and on long hours (15hrs+)

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz

CPU Cooler: H100i

Mobo: Gigabye GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+

RAM: HyperX Fury 8GB(2x4GB) 1866MHz

HDD/SSD: 2TB Barracuda + 120GB 840 EVO

PSU: Corsair 430W

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6670 2GB

Im going to be putting this GPU in only because I have it already and the Mobo doesn't have any display ports, it doesn't show in the pcpartpicker list because no one seems to sell it anymore so couldn't select it...

Lose the h100i and get an i5-4590 +h81 board (or if youre not gaming, save some money and get an i3)

Oh, and if you wanted to save some money you can get a cheaper case and save £50+~

An i3 will render slower than an FX6300, but it does pretty much everything else better (gaming included)

It is pretty good, It will do pretty much everything at a good rate.

When it comes to General use most PC's is enough, That one is almost overkill for general use,
But it will be nice when rendering becouse of the 6 cores.

EDIT: Maybe get a pair of Kinston Fury Black series RAM instead, It will probably look better with a pure-black build.

Nice thank you!

I will need to change the RAM as well because the board only supports up to 1600MHz and I will probably end up going with the node 804 for the case since its a mATX board still a little pricey at £75 but I really like it for some reason.

and the power supply thank you I wasn't overly keen on the corsair one but wasn't really sure what a decent one was.

That ram will run fine on that board, it just won't run at 1866mhz; the only reason I chose it was because it was the cheapest ram that had a heatspreader (didn't look like crap).

Will it do that automaticly without me having to fiddle about in the bios?...not overly confident about doing that :P
