Quick question about making bootable USB drive

rufus will auto set it to the right stuff

About to install Windows 8.1 using a USB and an ISO, was just confused as to whether I should format it as NTFS or FAT32?

Current Build: Case: Define R4 White/Window CPU: i5 3470 @4.0Ghz GPU: GTX 680 DCUII +500Mhz(Mem) Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO Monitor: Acer Monitor 1920x1080 MOBO: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 Storage: 2TB HDD, 120GB 840 EVO (OS)

Future Build: 4670K, GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr OC, Z87X-D3H, 8GB @1866Mhz, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 750D, RM 650W, Custom Loop. White/Blue/Black Colour Scheme. I literally cannot wait *_*

NTFS

 

But whatever you use to create the bootable USB will more than likely reformat the drive anyway.

That was quick, you sure? I hear FAT32 and then I hear NTFS, I've done this before, but forgot which one I used :c

Let the software(Win7 USB Boot or Rufus) format it for you, it'll set it automatically.

 

Use the Win7 USB BOOT software, but before anything else back up any file you might have in the USB because it'll be exterminated
