Boost 2.0 Questions

So I was testing my new GTX 970 and my OSD said my GPU was running at 1405 when the boost clock is set to 1317. I have a EVGA ACX 2.0 SC. I did not overclock it myself. Will the GPU run higher than what the boost clock is set to?

You set the base clock and then it boosts up by itself

Right. Then when is the listed boost clock on the product page 1317

They put an estimated boost clock on the site, everyones card will boost itself differently

Yeah it will boost(overclock) its self based on Power and thermals.

Okay thanks. I was under the impression that the boost would not go over the listed boost clock. I must have received a good card for once. Most of my cards do not OC very well.
