Hey guys, good afternoon to you all.

First off thanks a lot for taking your time to help me with my inquiry

This is my current rig:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kbfjLk

I feel I gotta upgrade something but dunno what. I know the 760 is a bit dated since maxwell lunch but it serves me well ( 1680x1050 monitor ) but those 2gb vram soon will be a hindrance. The i3 aside from being a dual core it packs quite a punch but still it just a dual core. I mainly play MMOs and FPShooters

My question is, "If you guys could change something from that build what will it be? 200~250 budget.

Once again thanks a lot for your time.

Get a better display with higher resolution first. It makes a bigger difference than simply upgrading your graphics card and raising settings.

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning section. I'm moving the thread.
Please post in the correct sub-forum in the future.

I would ether update to a quad core cpu or buy a 240gb ssd.

That gpu is perfect for now and will be good for the next 2 or so years.

CPU Ryzen 5 Asrock B350 Pro 4 / MSI RX580 Gaming / RAM 16 Gigs Corsair Vengeance 3000 / HDD 1TB Seagate Barracuda / SSD Samsung 840 120GB / 500GB Samsung SSD / Case Urban S31 / PSU EVGA G2 750w / Os Windows 10 / Keyboard Corsair K70 / Mouse Razer Naga 2013 (Won it from Linus!!

Sry didnt saw  the New Builds and Planning section. Wont i be getting lesser fps with a 1080p display?

Will i be able to use an i5 4690k on a H board? also do SSD help with micro sutter? ( Looking at you AC unity )

I'd go for a 970 and then an i5 afterward if you could afford it.

Wont the 970 be utter overkill for a 1680x1050 display?

Yes, you get less fps but the same goes for using higher settings.

Yes, you can use a 4690k but you won't be able to oc it and it would make getting an unlocked cpu (and devil's canyon at that) kinda pointless. A ssd can help with stuttering if textures are really heavy but microstuttering should have nothing to do with the drive.

Yes, it's utter overkill and is better suited to 1440p.

Thanks for the response, the K version of the 4690 is cheaper than the locked version at Amazon
