I was planning on buying a 1440p monitor in january (specifically, this one) but someone said that watching movies on it would be terribad since the pixels won;t scale properly. I find myself watching youtube vids/movies/tv shows more than i game so I was thinking of getting a 4k monitor instead (below £450). I don't mind having lower FPS (I have the r9 290x. Might get another one later on)

Now, after all this, if 4k would be better for me, (under 30 inches) then I would like a nice sleek looking one and not like all the good 1440p monitors that looks like bland office, professional monitors. I have the LG23ea as my 1080 monitors and I plan on using these two on either side of the 4k monitor so I want the middle piece to look nice too and not too much like 'work'.

I was thinking of getting this one. I know windows has a scaling issue, is it really that annoying? I assume Windows 10 and up would work well with higher resolutions.

What 4k monitor can I get for under £450~ that's 60hz, good looking, and preferably IPS.

edit:Oh and hopefully not noticeable input lag.

You're not going to get a 4k IPS for under 450 pounds, period (if you want 60hz).

The Windows scaling is annoying and I can't get my other monitors to not scale, they're basically unusable because everything is so big on them. Overall I'm happy with 4k, but I'm not sure I would recommend it just yet until they fix the scaling issues.

One solution is to not use scaling, but you really need eagle eyes. I thought I could do it but everything is just way too small and unusable without re sizing everything.

I never thought about that. If I increase the scaling, my two 1080p monitors would also scale to unusable sizes.huge con for me.
