1440p vs 1080p

Hi

 

Do you guys think 1440p is worth it over a smaller 1080p panel,but 1440p costing twice (or more) as much.

My eyes have stumbled upon the Asus Pb238Q (230 euro) or the Asus Pb278Q (480 euro)

 

My uses would be gaming,but primarily working, coding and such.

I was thinking of going 1440p because I feel i can fill up my 900p laptop screen fairly quickly.

I'd much prefer two 1080p monitors over one 1440p. You don't know how much better it is when coding (Look at multiple files at once). As for gaming, it doesn't really help, but it helps multitasking more than just getting a single 1440p.

Do you watch films and/or TV on it? Native 1080p content looks worse on 1440p due to interpolation. Games will look better at 1440p though.

 

The additional screen space for multitasking can't hurt either though.

Look at signature/profile.

Just using the 900p thing to give an idea of why i'm troubled

Don't do Netflix, Hulu or anything a like.

+ Anything our channels put on the internet is still 1080 so i will not be watching tv on this
