Hey guys, this is my first post here and am having some issues with my 9590. Yes it is on a Crosshair V formula -z motherboard with a ax1200 powering it, and it also has all of the power connections plugged in for the motherboard (such as 8pin and extra 4 pin). I am having issues with it taking any kind of overclock without crashing... It is starting to annoy me because i can raise the voltage all I want and it still doesn't allow for stable overclocks, and for some reason it likes to undervolt itself. Sits at 4.7ghz at 1.44 volts. Which to me is weird whenever it should be sitting at 1.5. Which if i raise it to that it crashes . Any help would be awesome.

Thanks.

Depends if u have adequate cooling when doing an overclock, then it will shut down if it gets too hot

U have to remember the 9590 is a nuclear reactor (220W TDP) and high overclocks are near to non-existent

No. It just chills at 4.7 i had it at 5 for a little while, but it would lock up on me after about 30-40mins, and constantly whenever i was playing games. I usually have control panel open monitoring my speed and usage, but unless I personally put it @ 5 it chills @ 4.7

And I have a H110 which usually keeps it at 40-50 degrees

Good cooler. But why a 9590, why not haswell-e. a 5820K or 5960X would be perfect for a h110
