two gigabyte 970 g1 gaming or one 980 ti?

Patfenis

Would I be better of with two 970 g1 gaming or one 980 ti with 8 gb ram for dual screen 1080p gaming?

I got one 120hz and one 144Hz.

1. Dual screen = bad, either go with one or three.

2. There is no 980 ti.

3. Go for the 2x 970s.

4. The reference or "Titan" cooler version of the card is best for SLI configurations as it exhausts all the heat out of the case instead of re-circulating it.

4x gtx  770 ?

They only support 3 way, and even if they did support 4-way, it'd be stupid to buy 770s at retail price right now with the 970 out, let alone having more than two 770s

Does Nvidia even allow dual screen gaming?

Yes it does, don't ask....

Am I the only one around here who really doesn't like pcpartpicker?
I also like Ubisoft and Origin/EA
Guess I'm just odd that way.

Well if you can wait a month or so for the alleged release of the 980ti, then wait right on ahead. But if I were you, 2 970 in SLI is killer enough.

Guys I do not play with dual screens, I only play with one but I got one other screen running at the same time as I'm playing and about the 980 ti, it looks like it is going too have 8 gb ram and have 50% better preformence then the titan black.

well the 8gb of ram will be wasted at 1080p or even 1440p so i would go with dual 970's. i've only used about 3.5gb of vram at 4k so far.

I'd like to see a dual screen setup for gaming O_O

I plan to buy a second monitor but for monitoring purposes and work(HWmonitor and some web browing) but what game would benefit from "dual screen setup"
i mean for FPS games the center is "cut" right?

i5 4690k @ 3.5Ghz | Stock Cooler :/ | ECS Gank Machine Z87H3-A2X EXTREME | Gskill RipjawsX 8GB 1600Mhz | MSI GTX 960 100th ME 2GB | Samsung 840 Evo 120GB | 1TB WD Caviar Blue | Seasonic m12ii evo 750W | Razer Modded Phantom 410

Well for everything it'd be cut down the middle. Maybe, at a push, for some strategy games if you can customise the UI enough to get all elements on one side to clear up the second screen to just display the map. If that were possible on like Crusader Kings II, then I'd be playing it on two screens.

But you just said

 dual screen 1080p gaming?

with that aside go for 2 970.  2 970's outperform a single 980 for just 10%-ish increase in the cost of a single 980

Go for giggabyte, I hear many people complain about ASUS an MSI 970 coil whines
