(-Noob-) First Build help!

1. Budget & Location

$2250 firm.. or lower

London Ontario Canada

 

2. Aim

To have this baby last at least 5 years (through university)

To play games,watch movies, code, video editing(aww ya), and for staying up past 3am lost on youtube.

To have a black, white, light blue build

 

3. Monitors

Cautious about multi-monitor setup but would not mind trying it.

 

4. Peripherals

I know for sure that I am getting those headphones

I know for sure that I am getting this case

I know for sure I am getting this mouse

I know for sure I am getting this keyboard

 

5. Notes

-Already bought the desk and chair

-Will go sli in the future

-This time I will go with air cpu cooling and save water cooling for another day.

-Looking for a decent sound card(with a built in amp) for my computer for the headphones. Any suggestions $50 and under?

 

 

So there we go. I have had thoughts about this for months (pc or console......I need my halo fix) so I decided to get both! Please,any reasonable feedback or alternatives builds would be most appreciated.

Actually, this is the best build i've seen a "noob" ever post on these forums. 

 

Maybe somehow get a 250GB ssd in there.

Go with an hyper 212 evo for cpu cooler

I thought everyone gets the hyper 212. I guess its good but I was thinking more of the lines of a NH D15 or is that too much?

considering how much you spend on other stuff i'd get either 120gb PRO or 250gb EVO ssd (cheap ssds work noticeable slower @ low capacities)

Oh I didn't know that about ssd's. I just thought that 120gb would be all I need for an operating system, but hey, I could always use the extra space.
