I would not do that, if I were you.

 

A friend of mine that switched from a 7970, which is nothing but a R9 280X, had this setup 3 1080p screens... he had to run a custom resolution to get acceptable FPS. The joke was he wanted to add another R9 280X and what can I say? I didn´t work! Crossfire with Eyefinity on R9 280X is not supported by AMD´s Catalyst. He was so mad about it, that he sent the second R9 280X back right away and sold the other one and bought a GTX970 2way SLI. Now he enjoys his triple screen setup in native resolution in high details or even maxxed out.
