Upgrade dilemma

I currently have an evga gtx 460 SC. My card is not on gpu boss. Was contemplating buying a evga gtx 750ti until I can afford a 970. Comparing the specs proves the 750ti is better on everything except texture mapping units. But here's the problem, is it worth it? Are the ti cards a waste of time?

Save your money deal with the lower textures and lower frames until the 970. don't buy the 750ti you'll just have a gpu not being used
