I bought a 'MSI GeForce GTX 760 GAMING' GPU like half a year ago. It's not a 980 but i'm extremely happy about it. My motherboard:MSI Z87-G45.

I don't need the best of the best but i have no lagg @fifa15, WOW and Grid2 on max settings.

How good are MSI gpus? Cause since I was going with an msi motherboard I was considering getting a msi gtx 980 to match it and was wondering how well they'd be

I've watched several reviews and discussions for the 980 and I heard good things about it all. What kind of fan issues? and would it be covered in warranty if something happened?

The few postings I have seen seem to center around fans misbehaving. The general advice is to return the card for a replacement. I have seen a post or two about coil whine. But those exist for almost every gpu.
