HD PVR 2 Does not Work

SO basically my HD PVR 2 refuses to record video. I have all the appropriate software, I have done this before, it just has been a LONG time since I last used this thing. The Software has been updated, and I can't acess the usual settings menus to see what the issue is. Device LED light is yellow, I vaguely remember that being a bad thing... It is normally green or blue. Anyway, neither the PC or the Television are receiving any sort of image. Any suggestions? I have tried restarting everything, unplugging everything, swapping the HDMI cables and looking at other forums...
