A week or two ago, my computer started showing a CPU fan error randomly when I boot sometimes. The fans are spinning and they show on ai suites and HWMonitor. I tried switching fans but the same happened. It gets temporarily fixed by restarting.

Asus  Maximus hero VI

coolermaster hyper 212 evo with 2 fans

Edit: I should note that my computer is about a year old and not just built

Yes but based off the update notes, it doesn't look like it will fix the problem

Give it a shot at least...

It still might. You can compare the version on your system by holding the windows key and hitting R, then typing in "Dxdiag.exe" in the run box and hit enter. Hit yes when it asks about digitally signed drivers, and on the main page it will say BIOS: then a version. You can compare the version YOU have to the version that's available on ASUS's website. If the version on ASUS's website is newer, it's worth getting.

I finished updating and tried rebooting a few time and it hasn't done it yet. If it happens again I'll post again

Good to hear. Hopefully that resolves the issue.

Also, doesn't the rampage have 2 CPU fan headers? If it does have you tried both of them with the same results?

I use both because I have 2 fans on my cooler.

Also I turn on my computer for the first time today and it happened again. Not sure what to do now
