Youtube is loading slow as all hell

So I discovered something odd today. On youtube, when watching videos, the video itself streams great. But icons for "related/recommended" do not load and give me the corrupt image logo that chrome loves to give. I have tried with IE and Firefox, even waterfox. Same issue across the board. But every other website, even Newegg under the cyber monday rush, is running great. Speedtest says I'm getting between 30mb/45mb per second down, and I have no clue what's causing this.

Gmail is down, and some other google services like youtube are currently struggling. Bear with it for an hour or so, and it should be back to normal soon.

oh my god the entire google circle just went down. the only thing left is google seach, and even that is taking a while to load for me now. 
Someone must be attacking google.
