a 970, bro, that build is badly balanced

unless you are buing those parts, have a 260x and need to upgrade it, in that case, a 290 or 970 would be perfect

the cpu cooler, memory ram, hhd, and ssd, psu. I am currently looking at a intel combo deal at microcenter for the 4690k and msi gaming 5 for $321

That 500w PSU might not be enough, I could be wrong, but it's very likely that it is

Well that depends, with that i5 you could go with anything from a r7 240 to a GTX 980. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Right now (if you want to keep and use the 260x in your system) I would recommend a high end AMD card, if you put a GTX card in there at the same time and don´t know what your doing your computer is gonna barf on you.

Or if you plan to sell it, save it or just have it laying around as backup I would recommend the GTX 970.

I actually need to edit the part list cuz i picked up a corsair cx 600m for 53.99 w/ 204 rebate

Then that's fine for a single GPU, but you'd have to buy probably a 650-750w PSU if you want to add more GPUs. As for the GPU suggestion, well right now Nvidia's GPUs are very popular, so I'd suggest getting their GTX 970, preferably Gigabyte's, MSI's or the ASUS's models. And you might to get a different SSD, I've read that that SSD is not good

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X GPU: ASUS Strix Radeon R7 5700 XT OC Edition Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200 CL14 SSD: 2x Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PSU: Corsair AX860 Cooling: NZXT Kraken X72 Case: Corsair Crystal Series 570X Mirror Black Display: BenQ XL2420Z  Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Cherry MX Blue Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Audio: Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum

Im looking to keep it around $200-$250 with the sale

Then your best bet is probably an R9 290, or 290X if you get lucky

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X GPU: ASUS Strix Radeon R7 5700 XT OC Edition Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200 CL14 SSD: 2x Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PSU: Corsair AX860 Cooling: NZXT Kraken X72 Case: Corsair Crystal Series 570X Mirror Black Display: BenQ XL2420Z  Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Cherry MX Blue Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Audio: Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum
