I know its a silly question , but just want to clear my doubts.

When u say sequential read of 550MB/s does it mean 550Megabits ie 550/8=70 Megabytes ?

here's a little trick for you:

Capital B means the longer word, BYTE

Lowercase B means the shorter word, BIT

The different sized hard drives will work in RAID 5, but keep in mind that RAIDs can only use the size of the smallest drive to build with. For instance, if you have a 10MB, 10GB and a 10TB drive in RAID5, there will be a 30MB RAID5 created (3*10MB) .
