I recently just built a new PC. After some research it seems that my GPU isn't having the same performance as I thought it could. My r7 260x supposedly is able to run BF4 ultra at around 40 fps (according to a few youtube videos). Somehow I could only run BF4 at all settings set at minimum at only a maximum of 59 fps. Could it be bottle necking from my CPU? It's only a budget build. My specs are below in the pic

IS the display cable plugged into the motherboard or the GPU?

^

This

a lot of new builders make the mistake of plugging the display cable into the motherboard

My PC

[ I5 4690k (no oc) - Gigabyte Z97 D3H - 8GB Ram - Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X ]

Nope, it "just?" is 20fps faster.

But what you can try is instead of upgrading your gpu, is upgrading your cpu, mainboard, ram and cooler for only 500. You gain about extra 10-20fps.

Or you buy a graphicscard with more power and sell your "old new gpu?!"

I am buying a new CPU. An Athlon X4 760K.

Ultra on what resolution? Ultra on 1024x768 is way easier than Ultra on 1080p.

As seen on this video (

), the game is running at 1600x900. My pc runs at 1440x900.

Well you are using a APU, and BF requires alot of Physics so your CPU is a bottleneck,
