Should you buy NVidia branded cards?

I did and I love them, they are some of the fastest 770's on LLT.

I'm guessing you are just talking about NVidia GPUs in general.

I prefer them over AMD personally, and there isn't really a reason to not buy them.

Reference cards aren't exactly known for being the best. Non-reference designs have better cooling and most of the time superior performance.

Most "non-refrence" cards are using Reference PCB's some times Nvidia's/AMD's board partners will upgrade the VRM to something that they think is of higher quality.

As the producer of a particular type of good?

Yes, you should buy them when you can rationalise your decision. What that threshold might be will vary from consumer to consumer, but take a look at your budget, weigh up your options and decide what's best. Could very well be Nvidia.

No, I am talking NVidia branded cards. Cards that are made by NVidia.

Sure? why not? what card specifically?

An NVidia branded card. A card that is made by NVidia, not EVGA or ASUS.

You know what I am talking about right? NVidia cards made by NVidia.

Nvidia makes the chip, the core of the card and a "reference" PCB. A reference card is what ships directly from Nvidia to the different resellers, EVGA, Gigabyte etc. They slap their own sticker on the reference card and then sell it off.

They also make their own custom cards, it uses the same chip, but often uses a higher quality PCB with better components, and an upgraded cooling solution that is designed by EVGA, Gigabyte etc. That's still an Nvidia card though.

I love the look of the NVidia Titan reference cooler and it cools pretty well.

So yes, I will keep buying NVidia cards unless AMD comes out with something more spectacular, which I hope that AMD does with the new 300 series.

Yay! Finally! How are they? Are they as good as the EVGA reference cards? Are they reliable?

They are basically the same cards just EVGA cards are factory overclocked, while these are at reference plain jane stock speeds.

They haven't failed me yet and they been running 1.3V for about 8 months now and still going super strong.

The Titan cooler is made by freaking NVidia and is used on their REFERENCE designed cards.

The 980, 780ti, Titan, Titan Black, 780, and 770 all had that same cooler MADE BY NVidia.

That's just a reference card.... Every manufacturer under the sun sells them... look:

Ones made by nvidia are not made by nvidia. They are made by either EVGA or PNY.

Every card is made by NVidia, lol.

Actually no card is made by nvidia. They only design cards and the GPU it self.

Nvidia only manufacture the chip and PCB design. They send it out to other companies to make the reference card. You just don't see the other companies branding on the box.
