Looks good, but why are you getting a micro atx board for a full size case? It will still work, just an awkward choice I guess :P

I'm wondering, are you limited to only buying from Amazon?  If not, please take the build I created above into consideration.  You will get the same exact performance, likely at a much lower cost.

The only thing that was not compatible in your build was the motherboard.  You need to buy a Z97 motherboard and everything will be compatible.

I recommend the Z97-AR.  You can buy it for $75 after mail in rebate, and if you pay using PayPal.  This is a medium to high end motherboard, but you're paying a very low price.  Excellent motherboard, I own one myself and it typically costs $150.

As far as PSU, the CX600M is not a bad PSU, but there are better options available for the same price.  The Corsair CS550M is a much better PSU and it costs the same after MIR.

For gaming, you don't need 16GB, its just a waste.  It won't do anything for you.  Stick with 8GB, and if you need more, then buy more, but 16GB from the start is a waste and that money can be better spent elsewhere in your build.

8GB 1866Mhz RAM for only $57 is super cheap, and its better than the stuff you have selected.  If you don't like the look of this RAM, there are many other 8GB kits to choose from.

The SSD you selected is way overpriced.  You could get a 500GB SSD for the price of the one you have picked out.  Go with a different model, a less expensive 250GB SSD, or buy a 500GB SSD with the money you're about to spend.  Samsung 840 EVO SSDs are very high end, and right now come with a free copy of Far Cry4.  Doesn't get better than that.

Don't get HDDs that are bigger than 2TB in size.  They tend to have a higher failure rate than 1 and 2TB HDDs.

Lastly, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.  Its a very good cooler, but you can buy much better.  You bought such a nice, high end case in the Pro(I own one also, you will love it.) and it deserves to be water cooled in.  At the very least, if you prefer air, go with a higher end air cooler.  I saved you a ton of money and it can be used on a better cooler, or even jumping up to an i7-4790k.

thanks for the help, yes i am limited to shipping from amazon. What is the main difference between the z97a and the z97e? and are the parts all compatible? is there anything that doesnt belong there? As for the hdd, i dont find seagate very reliable which is why i was going for WD. I havent installed watercooling before and i don't think i want to just yet, which is why i just decided to stick with the evo. ill look into another cooler to see if i could benefit from it. I will need all the 16gb of ram, i use a lot of my ram up which is why i went with that.

Yes it's all compatible. No real difference between the A and E except color. Stop using Chrome and switch to Firefox and you won't need 16GB of RAM. WD and Seagate have the same failure rate when it comes to desktop grade HDDs, but get whatever you're comfortable with. Water cooling is easy to install, easier than the EVO and I've owned both. You can't go wrong with the evo though.

That's a shame you're limited to just Amazon, you will end up spending a lot more because of it.

hey, sorry to be a bother but the nvidia card you recommended is sold out, any other 970s within that range which would be compatible and are good?

Any 970 that isn't sold out is a good 970.  Its an extremely popular card, so if you can get your hands on one, any model, do it.

hey, i ordered my parts, the 970 got cancelled due to it running out of stock but that wasn't updated on amazon so i have to make another order. i found  this http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Superclocked-Graphics-04G-P4-2977-KR/dp/B00OV9JT0I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1418047115&sr=8-3&keywords=gtx+970+acx+2

its a reference 970 acx 2, i originally ordered an evga acx 2.0 but it wasnt a reference card, i don't get how it can be a reference card while having the acx fans. is there difference between the acx 2.0 and the reference acx 2.0/ thanks!

This is an EVGA non-reference card. Maybe they are referring to reference PCB. Its a damn good card and you will love it.
